Laura has been teaching in reading intervention for more than ten years focusing on kindergarten through fifth grade students. She has also taught first grade as a regular education teacher.
Laura's passion is reaching students challenged by reading obstacles and helping them find success. She enjoys researching different curriculum and approaches to tailor lessons to meet the individual needs of each student.
Laura lives in Minnesota with her husband, Kyle, son, Jameson, son, Jaxson, and dog, Bentley. She enjoys doing puzzles, reading, and playing outside with her boys.
MEGAN PENROD
K-8 Licensed Educator, M. Ed, Orton-Gillingham and LETRS Trained
Megan has been teaching for over 10 years. She has experience teaching kindergarten, 2nd grade and 3rd grade but has spent the past 5 years as a reading interventionist for Kindergarten through 5th grade students.
Megan is a self-described nerd who spends most of her free time researching all things literacy! She passionately believes that every child deserves to become a confident reader and every family deserves to feel supported on their literacy journey.
Megan has extensive experience analyzing data to tailor instruction to the needs of each individual student. She is excited to make learning to read fun for all children!
Megan has a wonderful husband Bryan, a spunky son Keegan, a very independent daughter McKenzie and a (mostly) good dog named Meeko! In her free time she loves reading, watching Bravo Shows (her guilty pleasure), and playing with cars and Barbies with her kids!
