WHAT IS ORTON GILLINGHAM?

A Look Inside the Comprehensive Reading Approach

Orton Gillingham is a multi-sensory approach to teach reading that began with dyslexic learners and has now been implemented by educators with all learners.  It relies on directly teaching the fundamental structure of language, moving from simple to complex concepts.  Each five-part lesson is presented to students using their visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning pathways.
