We are so excited to be announcing foundational skills reading classes and tutoring starting soon!
At Developing Readers Academy, we aim to help prevent struggles by laying solid reading foundations in all children. Our fun, active classes will help our youngest children prepare to become successful readers!
Our tutoring sessions will be using an evidence based Orton-Gillingham approach which is beneficial for ALL learners!
Both our classes and tutoring will offer multisensory, explicit and systematic instruction. These attributes make our lessons engaging and effective for all learners, including those with dyslexia.

Foundational Skills Classes
Giving your child a strong start in reading is truly giving them a gift.
Our foundational skills classes aim to give every participant a solid foundation in essential reading skills such as phonological awareness, letter knowledge, print concepts, and phonics.
Our classes have movement, interaction, stories, songs, and a whole lot of fun!
Every class will also be recorded and available for 30 days after the session so if you can not attend live, your child can still benefit!

1:1 Orton-Gillingham Tutoring
Our virtual tutoring services use the evidence-based Orton-Gillingham approach at preventing and remediating reading struggles.
Our packages include live sessions with one of our educators. Our focus will be to make sure foundational reading skills in phonological awareness and phonics are strong. We will also build vocabularies and background knowledge to help develop language comprehension.

Daycare Literacy Classes
Whether you are local in the northern Twin Cities, Minnesota area and looking for an in person experience, or anywhere around the world, we are excited to offer all young children a solid start at reading!
Our daycare classes focus on some on the most important early reading skills including phonemic awareness, letters, and print concepts. Every child from baby to school-age will benefit!
Each lesson involves movement, stories, music and FUN!
